I shall fear no evil
by: Julie Vigor

(Julie received a prayer request via e-mail from the wife of a soldier in Afghanistan. The folloing is her reply to this request. She wanted to share it with all of our readers because she wants everyone to know how God is moving on her behalf.)

My prayers are with you, all our troops, our nations leaders, and lets not forget your wife. It seems that God's fate intervened here, because I received this request for prayer this day. As you probably know, this is the six month anniversary of Sept.11 and it seems so appropriate. You see this is also the day before I am to undergo a bone marrow transplant. You see, I have stage 4 B-Cell Lymphoma and after a year of treatment we are down to the final finally. Here is the wonderful part of getting this prayer request today. God knows that my mind is in fear and he has asked me not to be afraid for myself, rather pray for those under fire this day in Afghanistan, and those grieving at the sight of ground zero. He tells me so strongly to go forward and he says these words we all have heard before, but have never quite meant so much you or I as they do today. He repeats " Yeah, tho I walk through the valley of death I shall fear no evil." I feel he gives this to me because he knows just what we need. I pray that this e-mail has uplifted your heart and strengthened your mind. God Bless, Love, and Keep US All.......Julie Viger ...Michigan
